Welcome... to The Ultimate Organic Garden Blog.

Every week, we will share techniques and ideas ranging from soil fertility, seed diversity, crop rotation, companion planting, warm and cold season harvest and much more!

Well it's mid January and here we are enjoying a wonderful Sunday dinner with freshly dug carrots and kale picked from our winter garden beds. Our french fillet beans, blanched and frozen last fall, to enjoy throughout the winter, tasted like they were just picked from the garden.

In our salad we have broccoli sprouts that were grown in our kitchen in just 4 days and it doesn't get much better than that.

We are looking forward to sharing our ideas, exercising our knowledge using intensive gardening which is a two fold practice including interplanting and succession planting. These practices allow us to grow more in a small space and extend our harvest into the winter months. These techniques create a natural habitat insectary to attract beneficial insects and pollinators, that supports our eco system to encourage healthier and larger yields.

Gardening can be as complicated or as easy as you want. We practice gardening somewhere in between with ecological understanding.

...Until next week
